Anvil3D 3D Printing Service
Terms & Conditions
Version 1.0 · last updated 8 August 2026
By placing an order, you agree to these terms. “I/me” means Anvil3D. “You” means the customer.
1.What I do
I 3D-print parts from the files you supply, remove supports, tidy up holes and edges, check parts against the approved sample, and pack and post them to you. I don't do design work — you supply print-ready files and are responsible for the design being fit for purpose.
2.Files
- Supply a print-ready project file (.3mf preferred) or STL with clear colour and material instructions.
- Your files, designs and branding stay yours. I won't share them or print them for anyone else.
- You confirm you have the rights to any design you send me.
- Uploaded files are kept only as long as needed to fulfil your order. Files from quotes that don't become orders are deleted after 7 days.
3.Samples (repeat production work)
This section applies to ongoing production arranged directly with me. One-off orders placed through this website skip it — you order, I print, I post.
- Every new part starts with one sample: flat fee $50.00.
- You approve the sample before I run production. The approved sample sets the quality standard for all future batches of that part.
- If you change the design later, it's treated as a new part and a new sample fee applies.
4.Pricing
- Printing is charged at $4.50 per hour of print time, plus filament by weight used (including purge waste) at current replacement cost, plus a $6.00 setup fee per order. Minimum order $15.00.
- Prints using more than one colour carry a $2.50 surcharge per additional colour, because the printer purges filament at every colour change.
- Stock materials and colours are whatever is listed as available on the quote page at the time you order. That list is kept accurate — nothing is offered that I'd have to order in.
- The price you're shown at checkout is the price you pay. Print time is an estimate from the model you upload at the settings you choose, and is fixed when you place the order — no surprises afterwards.
- Failed prints and reprints are never charged to you.
- Non-stock colours or specialty filaments are special order: you buy the full roll at cost (the remainder stays yours — I'll store it for your future orders or post it to you), or pay a minimum material charge of 50% of the roll price on the first order. You can also supply your own filament. Postage is charged at cost.
5.Quality
Parts will match the approved sample, or the model you supplied where there is no sample. If a part doesn't, I'll reprint it free. 3D printing has natural limits — layer lines, small dimensional variance (±0.2–0.5 mm) and slight colour variation between filament batches are normal and not defects.
Parts are printed at the size they were designed. I don't rescale models, since that changes fit and tolerances.
6.Turnaround
Samples: within 5 days. Orders: within 5 working days, or 3 days if you choose rush. If I can't meet that (away, machine down), I'll tell you as soon as I know. I'm a small operation — turnaround is a target, not a guarantee.
7.Payment
- Orders placed through this website are paid in full at checkout by card. Printing starts once payment clears.
- Regular and trade customers can arrange invoicing instead: payment within 14 days by bank transfer. Orders over $300.00 may need a 50% deposit.
- If you cancel before printing starts, you get a full refund. Once a part is on the plate it can't be refunded, because it can't be resold.
8.What I'm not liable for
- How you use the parts — you're responsible for making sure they're suitable and safe for your application.
- Design faults in the files you supply.
- Normal wear, UV fading or heat deformation of parts used outdoors or in hot environments — I'll advise on material choice but conditions vary.
My total liability on any order is limited to the price of that order. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.
9.General
Either of us can stop working together at any time; you pay for work already in progress. These terms can only be changed in writing (email is fine). Changes apply to future orders, not to orders already placed — the version you agreed to at checkout is the one that governs your order.
